Many people on this list care about intellectual property in music and art for several reasons. First, because it's just morally right not to rip-off other people's work and tout it as your own. And, second, the (oftentimes small) earnings we make from our work, sustains artforms and musical genres that, all too often, don't get much support. Why is a Web page author any different from a novelist or a musician if what he/she creates is wholly individual?

Great point. I mean an acoustic musician doesn't make his/her instruments and a Breakbeat Scientist doesn't make his/her breaks. And if you feel so strongly about the light weight work put into a discog, make your own. Just don't steal one without expecting to feel the wrath.
