Hi,

Hes got shedloads of funk.....(and hes black....) > A lot of the detroit guys make pretty harsh electronic stuff, > but its obvious that Carl listens to a load of hip hop and funk > and lots more besides! Which reminds me of a question i've been meaning to ask for the last week: I always thought "69" was another name Carl Craig used, but ever since I got "Intergalactic Beats" Compilation on Planet E i'm not so sure?? The reason being that on this comp. all the "69" tracks are credited to "69", whereas tracls by "shop" and "Piece" are credit to Craig. So i'm thinking maybe it's not Carl Craig or maybe he's only part of "69". Does somebody with the inside knowledge want to clarify the air? :) Btw, this compilation is amazing!! Contains such classics as Nitwit, Nort Route, My Machines, Ladies and Gentlmen, War of the Worlds to name but a few of the choice tracks on here. Every track is a winner!! Regards, John

The version of norte route on there has got to be the finest BDP/Balil track ever! in fact the finest 'IDM' track ever. Steve /k/./F/ "In order to make an apple pie completely from scratch.... you have to invent the universe first" - Carl Sagan (RIP)

No it isn't. I have a rough tape copy of the mix from Intergalactic Beats and it's loads better than the one on ART. The main reason for the roughness is that I have played it so often. adam
