I'm afraid it's, probaly a bit too late. From what I've seen on the subject, a good portion of the major shooting has either already been done or is close to finishing at Pinewood Studios. This is, of course, providing they haven't hit any setbacks. Lucasfilm LTD. got into big trouble, in the UK, due to the verbage of some casting exec yutz. Describing, what is SPECULATED to be, young Luke & Lea he was looking for a boy of 9-11 (?) yrs. young, but, masculine. And a girl, 8-10 (?) yrs. innocent, but, SEDUCTIVE!!! Only an upper eschelon exec could use this kind of wording and not feel odd. Needless to say variouse small town UK papers were appaplectic, as that's where the casting search went on. Some twit actually quoted the exec, printed it, and distributed it as audition flyers around the isles. Word is that Lucas, himself, had to step forward (they were using a studio pseudoname to throw off media dogs) and explain the situation. As I remember, the sci-fi mag I read this in said it occured this past Novaember or thereabouts. Making this relavent to the list, your 70s disco cheese friend and mine, Meco wants to do medleys for each of the new chapters. Humorously, I actually have his Empire Strikes Back 10" EP-single-whatever thingy. I personally feel that as far as the Meco medley covers go, this was the better one. artisan001 If you don't like it, don't klick on it.

Actually they are shooting in the UK at Leavesden studios, not Pinewood. Leavesden is a converted Rolls Royce factory that was used to shoot Goldeneye. Supposedly the first day of 'principal' photography is set to occur at any moment in Naples, Italy at the Caserta Palace. Lucas is holding a press conference there tomorrow with the entire cast of the new films. Watch CNN, ET, etc. and you may catch some of it. Preliminary photography has been under way since June 26. Oh and yes that casting notice for extras was real. Send in your headshots.

You got it backwards! The boy was supposed to be younger than the girl. I think they wanted girls aged 10-12, but since this was cirrculated in 1996 that would mean that she could potentially be 15 by the time filming is over + however long she ages (Natalie Portman eventually got this role) between episode 1 and 2 so it makes a little more sense if you look at it that way. Still a bit perverted maybe :) may the force be with you... _____ / ,-,_) /,_) (/ RESH Live & Direct from the G-Spot, Orange County, California, USA http://www1.linkonline.net/fresh/fresh.htm
