hi all. browsed the astralwerks pages again. they've recently picked up the domestic rights to boymerang's _balance of the force_, fatboy slim's _better living through chemistry_ and bentley rhythm ace's self titled lp. all three items street in september. good to see astralwerks taking interest in lesser known [at least in the us] artists. grant.

'tis true. a little more info: the Boymerang LP is due out in October, not September. they're not duplicating the snappy CD packaging from the Regal UK version. BUT they are importing the hermetically-sealed 2x12" version at slightly lower price. Fatboy Slim's album will include the B-sides from "Everybody Loves a 303" ! :) and they're bringing Norman Cook over to do a few DJ dates in NYC also due out soon through Astralwerks: Photek - Hidden Camera/Two Swords Technique - both EPs (re)released as a set. 'cause it has been a while since the Hidden Camera EP - and the new LP is apparently nowhere in sight ... at least for a little while. Aquarhythms LP - previously on Phono UK Source Direct ! (Astralwerks now has the rights to their Science recordings) Ariel (sp? or is it Arial? Aerial? Uriel? Uriah Heep?) LP new signing on Massive Attack's Melankolic label. sounding like... M.A. of course. Air - LP (the Source FR/Mo Wax Air; no Namlook connections to speak of...) i believe that there's an Air remixes EP due out as well. once the rights are cleared a new Spacetime Continuum EP and the new Massive Attack album soon - hopefully by the Spring of '98! ?-Ziq's _Lunatic Harness_ should be hitting the streets on Tuesday. it's fantastic - definitely a return to form after the fun - but spotty - Moscheles and Slazenger records. he's gotten everything together on this one: deep HipHop, that "Urmur"-brand D&B, lounge stylings, plenty of humor, and the shivery beauty of those early Rephlex albums. should restore your faith in our boy Paradinas. np: Kosmik Kommando - Code F (Machine Codes) see next post.
