Just received this one today, and i'm glad to see Kit flexing his minimal-techno muscles. As the record clearly states, this is `clean, hypnotic minimalism`. "wshape revisited" treads the ambient waters ever so peacefully until a slow yet emerging beat begins to fill the rest of the atmospherics. On the flip side, "pattern matching" and "[?i}buffalo" both steer into a digestible platter of clean 4/4 beats, while an abundance of soothing high-hats flirt with your ears. This is a nice record, but not as dub-infested as his 'Nek Sanalet" full-length on ~scape.. Does anyone have contact info on Background Records. I seem to have missed the boat on this (German?) based record label. Is this already their 6th release?? Pietro. np >> Isan's 'Digitalis' on Darla.. so far i'm pleased with only "Zip Left, Zip Right", but that might change once i adjust my earphones to detect the ever-so- subtle crackling and experimental debris. ; ) ps >> finally picked up the Yunx/Datathief 12" on Pitchcadet and i'm perplexed to hear the wonderful sounds of Yunx, especially "Tenson" and "Gx.9900". I could play this tracks continually and never get tired! If you know of other Yunx tracks in line with these, please let me know, thanks. ___________________________________________ p i e t r o d a s a c c o a u d i o - n i m b u s c j a m 91.5 fm saturdays from midnight - 2am EST 9745 lynngrove cr, windsor, ontario, n8r 1b8, canada g r o o v e s m a g a z i n e www.groovesmag.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

i really appreciated these tracks, nice to hear him bridge the gap between cracks and bleep and 4/4- does he do this in any other releases? i've only enjoyed rep. & nonsense & nek purpalet, as well as... his track on autopoieses- unfortunately i lost the whole thread about it, but does anyone else here ASCII text files being printed in here? Reminds me of The User's "Symphony for Dot Matrix Printers #1" on Stalplaat. susan --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
