...and again, not a peep on the new speedy j single, "ni go snix." in addition to being the only track fsol praised as guest reviewers in this month's muzik, "ni go snix" is probably the most searingly uncompromising idm-ishness (where idm means "uses lots of weird noises and stuff and makes you shake your head in disbelief") i've heard yet this year. would you like it instead if you knew there was a mu-ziq remix on it? how about the like a tim remix, which caused a section of my kitchen ceiling to collapse this afternoon? jean-jacques perry vs. octagon man with a heart condition... i haven't heard a record push the envelop like this since the first plug 12". sc

Actually I was gathering a review of the new Speedy J single, along with the new Photek single, the new A guy called Gerald single, and Jimi Tenor. I'm still trying to get my brain out of IDM overdrive mode after listening to the new Speedy J. I will have a review shortly but in a few words, *this is a totally new Speedy J* forget the techno feel good club music he made before. Also, I think the Muziq mix is the weaker of the bunch... more to come soon- Nate On Mon, 31 Mar 1997, Sean Cooper wrote:

I shook my head in disbelief: "How could a guy who made GSopt and Live make such crap?" -- Dave Ross: Mild-mannered banker at dawn, exhausted Luddite by evening. http://www.mts.net/~daveross

Now this is good...I was giggling almost as much as the first time I heard Squarepusher. Complete with cheesy mu-ziq mix. Most definitely different...most definitely essential. Jon Burrell

I thought the live thing was the most dreadful digitalized knocked-out rubbish I ever heard, so I didn't bother with G-Spot, but I'm a big fan of R2-D2 and Evolution - Is this a return to the old style? Has he stopped using crap synths? What's On The Sound Burger? Landscape - Introspektiv Audiosphere (wake up spotters..)
