I dreamt that I was in Soho, London. In Ambient Soho I found an old
Squarepusher EP for 3 pounds, unfortunately it was a re-release, the
shopkeeper said the original went for 400 pounds (or something like
that)...strangest of all was that the record had "Spooky" instead of
"Squarepusher" written on it but somehow I knew that it was a Squarepusher
record anyway. They also had a double 12" white vinyl release of "Richard
D. James" for just 27 pounds, very limited of course. It included lots of
tracks which are not on any other releases. I have forgotten the names of
the exclusive tracks though, but I remember that they were very silly.
Then I went into another shop (I can't remember which) and found a double
CD of different bands' cover versions of The KLF's songs, released on their
Japanese label; among other things it also included The KLF's version of "3
a.m. Eternal" as performed at The Brits in 1992 with Extreme Noise Terror.
Then the whole dream turned into a nightmare as the previously mentioned
Squarepusher / Spooky EP turned out to be a bootleg and somebody accused
*me* for having bootlegged it and I had to escape...then I woke up.
(Last time I dreamed about recordshopping in London it also turned into a
nightmare as I realised that I had nowhere to sleep since I had spent all
money on records. Soho can be frightening by night.)
Chill,
Johan.
