I got both of these cds when they came out, and returned both of them.
They lack any substance. The DnB collection has absolutely nothing to do
with the Art of Noise, it is just a marketing gimmick. For example, Peter
Gunn: my English said after hearing the DnB version -- "oh it gives a
whole new meaning to twangy guitars" -- being totally sarcastic because
Duane Eddy's twangy guitars are no where to be heard, and there is nothing
the song that is even vaguely reminisent of the original. Unfortunately,
it's not even interesting. The DnB collection was really boring.
The Fon collection slightly better, the only good track being the Prodigy
remix. THe 808 state mix just sounded like a throw away Massey track
-(remember David Bowie vs 808 State??!)
