I caught the broadcast last night in several different sleep states (12:30 - 3:00 a.m. PST/8:30 - 11:00 a.m. UK) last night. It was quite nice to be lulled to (near) sleep and then occasionally brought back by certain sounds. In a constant state of being somewhere between consciousness and unconsciousness for approx. 2 hours. But I digress... After the interview with Gary (who kept processing his voice) the DJ asked for call-in questions. I called (half asleep), got through, and got to speak with Cobain. Papua New Guinea was being aired when I spoke with him so I don't know if it was taped and aired later or... (If anyone here is from Groove Radio 103.1, I'd like a tape of this if possible?) One of several questions: Q: Do you often check in on any of the listservs (etc) like ambient@hyperreal or the idm list? A: Ahhh... the ambient list! Yes, we lurk quite a bit to see what is being said. <snip>talks about a book he read where the character constantly scans for his name in the N.Y. Times<snip> Sometimes we post things to these lists just to stir things up a bit using a pseudonym for the e-mail. Hmmmm.... Well, uhhh... Hello Gary. Great broadcast. --t 23 Futurists http://www.iuma.com/IUMA/bands/23_Futurists

Of course, my reception was terrible. I was actually listening on the radio. RealAudio would have probably sounded better. :P BRAT - Groove Radio station remixer (glad something good was finally on the station...besides my mixes ;) ) http://commline.com/~bratmix/
