I've got two Traum releases - a compilation of material by electronic artists from Beunos Aires, and a full-length by Gustavo Lamas (I think that's his name...) who also has a track on the comp. Both are quite good, sort of IDM/ambient hybrids. I'm pretty sure PJ at s://kimo carries stuff on the label. Traum are an outstanding label. Their first release was a compilation called Elektronische Musik Aus Buenos Aries and was one of my favorites of last year. It featured 15 or so tracks of various idm, ambient, experimental, and cologne-styled techno all from previously unknown producers from Buenos Aries. Traum's second release was a cd from one of the musicians off the Musik Aus Buenos Aries comp called Gustavo Lamas. The cd, called Celeste, featured a mix of experimental glitchy electronics and abstract minimal techno. The first Traum vinyl release was a sampler 12" featuring tracks from the Gustavo Lamas cd. Most recently from Traum was a new 12" by a french producer named Phillipe Cam. The ep is called Caddie's Day and is very much in the ambient electronica style. I highly recommend all the Traum releases. Regarding availability, I think most of their releases are still available through your better mailorder shops. Traum Discog: . Elektronische Musik aus Buenos Aires comp cd (Traum 01) . Gustavo Lamas: celeste cd (Traum 02) . Gustavo Lamas: celeste sampler 12" (Traum 03) . Phillipe Cam: caddie's day 12" (Traum 04) -->-Lance--- lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Sure I'm behind Lance or Pietro or whoever, but... Traum has released four things to date: Elektronische Musik Aus Buenos Aires CD (see SGR A* -1- for what I thought of this) Gustavo Lamas: Celeste CD (see the upcoming SGR A* -2- for a review) Gustavo Lamas 12" (four tracks from the CD) Phillippe Cam: Caddie's Day 12" (refreshing ambient techno) A very good label for quality control / interesting new artists. More so than Fat Cat, I'd say, but that's easy with four (effectively three) releases.
