Reply to: RE> IDM Poll 1996 RESULTS
Ummm ..... do we have to start this thread .... I can see it going on for days with nothing positive or constructive coming from it.
Let's just accept that we all have different tastes within IDM, which such a poll will determine anyway .... and makes the list enjoyable too .... for the most part!
I find the IDM poll to be a nice way to round up the year of "movers and shakers" release-wise .... regardless of if I like a particular winner or finalist.
Top marks to Chris for bothering to set up the whole thing! Let's just take it easy or there may be no-one wanting to take up a 1997 poll! I don't know about you people but I reckon that would be worse than having the poll!
Paul Middleton.

I personally feel that In Sides is the most varied, and textured peice of
IDM/ambient/hardcore when it wants to be album I have yet heard. Maybe this
is due to my mainstream ignorance, and my lack of IDM savy, but I love
Orbital, and while past works such as Snivilization and "Orbital" may not
be wonderful, they try different things, and maintain a creative
consistency. Orbital is wonderful.
