Orbital News from the NME:
ORBITAL release three CD
singles on December 30, all
different live versions of their 1991
single 'Satan'. The first CD has
'Satan' and 'Out There
Somewhere', both recorded at
New York Irvine Plaza. The
second has 'Satan' at Chelmsford
V96, 'Lush 3' and 'The Girl With
The Sun In Her Hair' recorded at
Boston Axis. The third CD has an
industry-standard edit of
'Satan' with 'Chime' and 'Impact' recorded at
V96.
Speaking to NME, Phil Hartnoll said: "The
track's about six
years old and at the time people were seeing
things in it that
weren't there, devil worship things,
particularly over in
America. It was a bit of a laugh." The singles
all retail at
£1.99. Orbital play the Universe New Year's Eve
party at
London Alexandra Palace and begin work on their
fifth
album in January.
THREE singles?!?! Means thirty dollars for us poor US punters. Funk
that, Orbital. Think it's time for a Diversions 2.
