Sort of. Here in the UK, the original version of 'ISDN' (black with velcro, as you've described) was deleted on the day of release. I forget how many copies were pressed, but it was a proper 'whilst stocks last' situation. Naturally, I snapped it up straight away! The material on the album is a compilation of various tracks that FSOL performed 'live' (over ISDN links) during 1994. They played different sets each time, so there was quite a wide variety of music on offer. 'ISDN' was later re-released in a jewel case, the cover sporting the FSOL logo in black, with a white background. This is the version of 'ISDN' that people are most likely to come across (and it's still available).

Yes -- at $1.99 you've got a seriously good deal there!

Lamb hail from Manchester and comprise of Andy Barlow (music) and Louise Rhodes (vocals). As far as the tip of the iceberg's concerned, they're a drum & bass outfit, but don't let that fool you into thinking they're as commercial as Goldie or as sugar-sweet as Everything But the Girl. Their music's a lot more complex -- underneath the drum & bass (not that there's actually much of it anyway) are brooding strings, jazz riffs and genuinely haunting songs. Louise Rhodes appeared on 808 State's (excellent) 'Don Solaris' album, providing the vocals for 'Azura'. If you like that track, then you're pretty much on to a winner with Lamb's album. They've got a couple of singles out too -- 'Gold' (on which Autechre handle remix duties) and 'Cotton Wool'. The video for 'God Bless' seems to appear on MTV Europe every now and then (usually closely followed by 808 State's 'Bond'). 'Gorecki' is one of the most awe-inspiring IDM tunes you'll ever here -- a real skyscraper of sound and emotion. .+'''+. mark@sonance.demon.co.uk M A R K http://www.netlink.co.uk/users/sonance/ `+.,.+' http://www.sonance.demon.co.uk/
