It's not so much that I'm being anti-RDJ (I still consider myself
pro-RDJ), but I just feel that his recent output has missed the
mark. Not that I want a return to the SAW-1 tracks or anything, but
I don't really feel that he's being as experimental as a lot of
people think.
His current output is certainly different, but the point of
experimenting should be to seek out new avenues worthy of
exploration. As far as I can see, there's not many avenues
presenting themselves, which is probably why RDJ's style is
fluctuating wildly at the moment.
