Well, Brad Laner (Medicine/Fourwaycross/Steaming Coils) titled all the songs on
his ELECTRIC COMPANY debut album with anagrams of the LP's title, _A Pert Cyclic
Omen_ (itself an anagram of 'electric company').
You have to suspect something when these are the track titles:
PA intercom cycle
polymeric accent
elm crypt oceanic
electro amp cynic
come circa plenty
cyclic pee matron
in compact celery
cyclopean metric
and - my favorite: i can cop my tercel
looks like RDJ has some competition! Laner's one creative guy - and Analogue
Bubblebath fans could do worse than to check out the music. Electric Company
sound something like _Quique_-era Seefeel, Flying Saucer Attack feedback
overload, and SAWII electronic ambience. Very entertaining. Laner claims that he
made the record while trying out his new sampler, and it's intended as the sonic
equivalent of "bachelor pad wallpaper"
The CD is out of print (came out on American's Onion imprint), but you might be
able to track a copy down in a used bin somewhere. Great album.
I mean, "blume GRA art" (c:
