Sorry for the hassle...
Despite what you might think, I just forwarded this message that I got from
someone else (who got it from someone else...) and it was in a good
intention.
Those messages are mostly sent by people who are usually altruistic enough
to care for other people, otherwise, they would keep the message for
themselves which is probably the way most of you acted when you were still
a "newbie" and you found the same kind of message in your mailbox.
For your information, let me tell you that a virus can be sent in
attachment to a message, and therefore, one is never too cautious...
The funny thing is that:
1- Everybody supposedly knows it's a hoax, but everyone read it !...
2- Most of the mailing lists are flooded with useless and unwanted
conversations that take up much more space, but no-one complains...
3- I never got so much mail from people bitching and complaining when all
they had to do was delete this message.
4- I got feedback from very nice people who were simply explaining me why I
shouldn't have forwarded this kind of message to people who were telling me
the very same thing in some more primitive way...
By the way, so many people complained about the length of my signature that
I shortened it a little. No big deal though, I don't complain when I come
across a longer signature (and I did... several times...), I just delete
it.
I was even told that I had used the virus subject to make publicity for my
website since its address is included in the signature !!!!!
Ha Ha Ha !!... If I had really wanted to do that, I would have chosen a
better subject (Like: "Something Interesting"), don't you think ?
I think that too many people make mountains out of molehills and that is
why the pseudo-virus in question is so talked about. I'm sure there will
still be people talking about it in a week from now... (interesting
conversations in view on the mailing lists !...)
Prove yourself that you have a life: Don't reply to this letter.
(I know some will anyway since they don't have anything else to do...)
My apologies to those of you that it truly bothered (for some reason...) +
to the ones who made light of it for the obvious irony of this mail which
is only directed to those who feel concerned.
