I'm not going to go over the ground already plowed by alan parry's
review of almost 2 years ago when the original 1000 copy vinyl release
occurred. You can go back and read it yourself:

One thing about the irregularity of the Rephlex release schedule is that
certain records turn up as if unpacked from a time capsule. Things move
very quick in the IDM world, and what was once a bolt of lightning out
of the blue now shows up as regularly as the 'A' Train at the Port Authority.
And yet, what gets you about 'Bluff Limbo' is not the stylistic affectations
muZiq is famous for (the distorted drums, the weird little DX100 sproings
and burbles), it's the melodies, and the way that the pieces here hold
together as compositions. The beatless pieces presented on Bluff Limbo
are absolutely staggering to me in their beauty, more deserving by far
of the orchestral treatment than Icct Hedral by Aphex Twin.
Fact is, many of the things muZiq/Slaz has released since then simply
don't equal the level of artistry present on Bluff Limbo. While I love
the Slazenger material, and like several of the tracks on In Pine Effect,
Mr. Mike needs to maybe take a step back and see, now that he has the time
and money to do whatever he wants, if there's a way to put as much care
and feeling into his music as he did on BLuffLimbo

At any rate, if you subscribe to this list and you've not gotten your copy
yet, rush right out.
