Subject:: (idm) Lionrock - An Instinct For Detection

Hi all, Got a freebie 7" with Jockey Slut (UK only) with two Lionrock tracks on it. The a side is Morning will come when I'm not ready and I can't remember the b side title. Personally though, I thin that both tracks suck big time. I think Justin Robertson has been sucked into the guitar twanging revival that's rife in Britain. Maybe the album is better as I've heard it has a remix of Packet of Peace. So what's the general consensus of this album? Derek.

I haven't heard the album, but I've heard a track or two off of the Future Music CDs, and I do think Lionrock sucks some hard ass. It seems to be part of [yet] another branch of dance music which is more pop-oriented; Leftfield, Chemical Bros., Sunscreem, System 7 (?) would fit into this category. That's not to say that this type of music is awful, it's just that these groups all share certain characterics. GD
