Although, they are from that region, I don't think they sound *anything* like other artists. A bit sublime. Their tracks take some time to work themselves between those synapses...interesting story I heard about the label...one of the first releases was supposed to be put out by Rephlex (I think they may still have the tracks lying around - reph, care to respond?), but it has never materialized...

I think the raw, emotive, moody, experimental aspect of Detroit evidences itself in their music (especially #2), but again, they label is truly unique... #4 should be out shortly. I've got the test (OMNIOLIO) and it sounds in line with the previous releases; sparse drum programming, chord appearing from above the atmospherics every few bars. It's too bad such a promising label has not gotten more press. Perhaps that's a testament to their low-key genius. sashainboston
