I too often find that repeated listenings provide essential
music that is often missed. I Usually know whether i'll
like an album by the third hearing though, it's usually when
it all falls into place. Sometimes however, I really get
into a track, and then leave it for about a few months and
have to re-listen to it again, until it again falls into
place.
Anyway, I've still not got Tri Repeatae, but loved the last
singles. I thought it a bit off for warp to release it on
two singles when it lasted only 35 minutes. the cost of Warp
12"'s have always stayed pretty constant at #4 or so, but
together the two 12"'s come to the same amount of money as
an album. It's OK if you buy the CD (As I did), but is it
supposed to promote CD's? Especially as Warp have made it
by the Club 12"'s and early bleep stuff before they could
ever afford the AI stuff. When the Basscadet mixes were
released, each 10" was about #2 or #2.50, and you got a cool
box with it, as well as an extra track on the vinyl.
Anyway, I still think i Prefer Incunabula to amber at the
moment.
