for a cheap dose of fun, the Chemical Brothers vs Charlatans UK single is
pretty cool.
although it has 4 tracks, 3 of those are really the same track in various
incarnations: vocal mix, long instrumental and short instrumental. i like it
ok, but the real winner is "nine acre dust" which sounds like sly and the
family stone crossed with meat beat manifesto. starting off with swirling
backwards noises it proceeds into a kick ass funky acid riff and some sly
stone style "na na na" vocals. some distorted latin drum machine sounds
complete the picture. fun and funky...
