sound. I can tell you a bit, but not much. I've got three tracks by the scientist, but nothing since around 1991. The tracks, 'spiral symphony' (the one you mentioned), 'the bee' and 'the exorcist' are all originally on kickin records, but I've got them on compilations. These are, respectively, 'breaks, bass and bleeps 2', 'Champion Sound - the best of kickin records vol.1' and 'breaks, bass and bleeps 1' - all pretty old, but still excellent comps. I'm not sure who 'the scientist' actually is, but names associated with the tracks are P.Sebastian, K.Ford, DJ Hype and Ralph P.Ruppert. Anyone else remember the 'breaks, bass and bleeps' series of comps? (Dunno if they ever got to America.) They were pretty essential at the time, but only got to vol.4. Whatever happened to Hardcore Uproar? Timmy (currently listening to Dream F.M. 107.8 Mhz - trance, techno, jungle, ambient, house and garage (ugh!) for the discerning listener in Leeds, England.)

I just gotten word of these comps about a month ago. What's the catalog number for these? Can you post a tracklisting? I'm in the process of ordering a lot of the old compilations on Rumour & Jumpin' & Pumpin'.... Derek Jordan proud owner of EBv Compilation(1992)-FSOL-courtesy of Bella...

I don't get it: you must not be talking about "Scientist" the old dub master, like pre-Mad Professor, are you? The Scientist record I have "Scientific Dub" is, like, a classic underground dub record from 1978. This acid-whatever guy must be someone else completely...right? You're completely right; the scientist I'm talking about is someone different. Wouldn't mind hearing some of the 'proper' scientist though - I've heard good things... Timmy.
