Here's a shocker. Nearly fell of my pogo stick when I saw that Columbia House (CD Club) listed Orbvs Terrarvm and I Care.. as selections. Is good electronica going mainstream or is Columbia going *semi*-underground? I would say the former obviates the first. The meat: It's great to be able to pick up some things that I haven't in the past at reduced prices, but somehow I have this irrational desire to pay a little more and not have something so meaningful and personal be exposed to the mASSES. I'm ready to be PSYCHOanalyzed. Your friendly neighborhood spidey, -eyezic

Columbia House's warehouse is huge. They stock almost everything you can find in a typical store that's still available. So, to say that they have the Orb and Aphex Twin available doesn't surprise me, but I suppose I find it interesting it's in their catalog. About a year ago I picked up William Orbit's first two cds on IRS real cheap. I had trouble finding them, and with one of their sales, I "convinced" the salesperson to sell them at the sale price of $4.99. Now I only use Columbia House for cd racks. Those 800 monster racks are great. Their sales fliers are a good way to pick up recent releases cheap if one listens to other genres of music.
