to which i add that my brother sent me a unmarked cassette which had sade songs; at first i thought uh ok but then when i actually listened i thought it was pretty amazing. i never listened to her much before, so i don't know if it's remixes or not. it's got (i don't know if they're the titles) 'kiss of life', 'colour of love' and 'thinking of you', plus some others. she does have a beautiful vox but my delight is w/ the other sounds. It's sort of an mature, straightforward, spacious slow housey style, reserved, because i suppose it is a 'vocalist' release, but the music is so well-crafted and natural. very playful and sexy sounding i think. i find most house too regimented and dull. but i like this. it sort of sounds like dj sasha, who i would call intelligent house. so there's my justification for putting this on idm. so i ask, does anyone know who did the music for these sade songs i'm talking about? are they the originals or was this stuff remixed? and also, while i'm at it, the kat collection by sasha i found to be a really soothing and bold cd that covered a wide range of themes, yet was pretty cohesively grounded in an accessible house music type style.
