Get Tipper's album "Surrounded". It is an astonishingly beautiful
IDM/Downtempo album mixed in 5.1. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
As for mixing in 5.1 I use Digital Performer and the Motu 2408 sound card
with multiple speakers. It's quite simple to mix in 5.1 (Protools, Logic and
DP are probably the most used software apps for this). The hard part is
actually getting it converted and onto a usable format (DVD Audio).
