I haven't heard those particular tracks but based on the fact that Q-Chastic was supposed to have been released on two 7"s, those track lengths are too long to fit one-per-side, even at 33rpm. For a 7" it's usually about 7:30 minutes tops per side, and then you're compromising sound quality... All the early Rephlex discs are renowned for being cut loud - on some of those discs you can virtually see the space *between* the grooves, which is lush, so I can't see RDJ or Porky (of Porky Prime Cuts, who presumably would have cut the discs) trying to squeeze over-long tracks into too little space! My opinion is that the real Q-Chastic tracks would be quite short (5 or 6 minutes max), simply because if they'd been longer it would never have been planned as a 7" release. john :o) www.awkwardsilencerecordings.com From: "qwerty" <miro.merlak@vip.hr>
