That great that you're working on a show for NPR. I am a huge supporter and
listener of NPR.
As for ambient artists, you should really think about Tim Hecker. He's an
absolutely brilliant ambient artist and he will be performing at an
electronic music festival I am curating called Decibel (Sept 23-26 in
Seattle). Check out www.dbfestival.com for more info. If you are interested
in info on Decibel or Tim Hecker, let me know. The festival will include a
very broad scope of electronic music (techno, IDM, glitch, ambient, noise,
drum and bass).
