Assuming it's nonlethal, making yourself transparent would pose another interesting difficulty - effective blindness for the duration of transparency. If all visible light is either passed directly through you(transparency) or bent around you (a la "Predator"), no light would be reflected or absorbed by the necessary structures in your eye to facilitate sight.
