This is likely true. I spoke with Bob Stanley from Saint Etienne back in
November. He is friends with both Plone and Broadcast. Rob Mitchell had
been the one backing Plone. After his death, Plone had little or no support
from within the label, so they were dropped. Broadcast is still on Warp,
but their relations with the label are supposedly not as good as they had
been.
I hope Broadcast can at least stay on Warp. "The Noise Made by People" and
the accompanying EPs were (IMHO) quite brilliant. As for Plone, I liked
"Plock" and "Press a Key" EPs, but never warmed up to the full length.
