I've been really excessively happy with my Polk Audio RT800i. I am a far cry from a golden ear, but they got really good reviews and seem to have a very "full" sound to my ear. One thing I particularly like is that the mids don't get disproportionally quiet at loud volumes like with a lot of (cheaper) speakers. But, like I said, my hearing isn't all that great, so I might be just as happy with any similarly-priced speaker. http://www.polkaudio.com/home/products.php?category=3&speaker=23 Don't believe the prices on there. I got mine for $550 for a PAIR brand new from Fry's. (vs. the $490 per speaker they tell you). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ No one in particular: quasi-anonymity or good AI? idm@cocksalad.com Potentially embarrasing auto-generated "now playing": David Holmes - 69 Police --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
