I was watching the Oscars and this film called "Copy Shop" which was nominated for Best Short Film (Live Action) caught my eye. So I looked it up and I found that it "consists of nearly 18,000 photocopied frames, which are animated and filmed with a 35mm camera". I watched it on ifilm.com and it's got some nice visual touches, though it's got a contrived, film school feel. But my point is that if they think this is good enough to nominate for an Oscar they should see some of bit_meddler's video work. I also watched a film at ifilm.com called "Fifty Percent Grey", which got nominated for Best Short Film (Animated) and that's kind of fucked up.
