Stained Productions is in the planning stages for a record fair to be held
in Toronto in mid-June, featuring indie labels and artists from a variety
of genres (electronic/IDM, industrial/experimental, indie/post-rock, etc.).
Our plan is to hold an event that is similar to the popular Cut & Paste and
Broken Pencil zine fairs, but featuring music instead of zines & small
press publications.
The fair will be held on a Saturday (probably 11 AM to 6 PM), with DJs
spinning a variety of music throughout the day. We are already speaking to
a couple of potential venues along the Queen West strip, and should have
something confirmed in the next week or two.
If you are a label or artist who would be interested in being involved in
this event, please contact me off-list. Once we have confirmed the venue
and other costs, we will contact all interested parties with full terms and
conditions including vendor's fees. (Note that we have no intention of
making any profit on this event, and that any vendor's fees that are
charged will be used to cover rental and promotional costs associated with
the fair.)
