One thing you need to do is burn the audio tracks first, then burn the
data tracks. Nero Burning Rom is good software for the PC for burning
mixed-mode CDs. If you're Mac-based, check out the tools used to burn
Dreamcast CDs -- the Dreamcast uses mixed-mode CDs, too.
You could also take a look at mixed-mode CDs that have already been
created, and imitate them. Some examples: Quake, Quake II, nearly all
Coldcut cds, Aphex Twin - Come to Daddy...there are quite a few now, and
there are many software CDs that are mixed mode.
