Everything being released now seems to be very forgetable, nothing is really striking chords for me. Most artists who were dependable as mainstays of the IDM sound are releasing uninnovative stuff, that really doesn't drive me to relisten to it. I want a record that simply demands that I listen to it repeatedly for hours This probably due to the freedom given by current computer technology, with no rules and no constraints to their sound. I am hoping that soon I will get something that defies this current trend, a breath of fresh air that doesn't simply sound like something autechre could have put out in '95. Too much influence, not enough thought. georgewilliamson np. fridge - sevens and twelves
