All, I just thought I'd do my bit to promote one of the best new releases coming out of this excellent UK label. Sense :: A View From A Vulnerable Place CD/2xLP The new album from Adam Reisback is one of the finest albums I've ever purchased. This album crosses the boundaries between ambient and IDM in a way that I've not heard since CiM's Reference album through deFocus. A View From A Vulnerable Place contains ten tracks of some of the most emotive ambient/electronic music I've heard in a long time. The production on this album is second to none, with crisp percussion, warm synth washes and some disturbing bass effects - when I listened to some of the tracks I kept thinking the people in the flat above me were stamping about heavily. This sounds like a very personal album, and it elicits a feeling of pleasant melancholy. It has been very intricately assembled and cries out to be listened to as a whole - rather than piecemeal - because the flow from one track to the next is simply perfect. If you want proof of the high quality of neo ouija's output, buy this album first. It's available now in the neo ouija shop but is released more widely in July I think. )Jamesq. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
