Yes SND's stdio is still a keeper to my ears and even more engaging than their previous relases (though i still enjoy the previous stuff). I certainly wont be condemning this one anytime soon. But there is a recent SND-related release that i am less enthusiastic about - the .H mini lp, entitled 1-3/4-6 on Hobby Industries. Usually stuff from SND and Hobby Industries can alway be trusted but, for some reason, this release didnt work for me. It featured four tracks of very cold sterile experimental minimalism somewhat like the Shirt Trax stuff but not as good. I plan on revisiting the release when i get through all my new listening tasks and maybe it has gotten better with age. But in the meantime, stick with Stdio or the new SND track on the Clicks & Cuts 2 compilation. -->-Lance---- PO Box 450715 Westlake, OH 44145 United States --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
