Yeah, but don't hold it against Plaid that you bought their old stuff. You bought a CD of theirs that's more a relic than anything. "Mbuki Mvuki" is from 1991 (which comprises most of disc 1); of course your friends could do better with equipment from 2001! I find "Trainer" *interesting* b/c I can see Plaid's progression over the years, but I never listen to disc 1 for enjoyment. You can't deny that "Angry Dolphin" (last track on disc 2) is a great song, though. Give "Not for Threes" a shot. And "Double Figure" is incredible... probably their best yet. Plaid's melodic and rhythmic playfulness bring a smile to my face more often than any artist in the genre. Speaking of Plaid, they have a new remix on the way.
