Its been out for a few years. cEvin's coming out with a newer solo album
this year, i believe.

It *is* too random, but i think that has to do with the fact that it was
mostly a compilation of tracks cEvin worked on over a period of years that
until that point had never been compiled. Something like that isn't very
likely to sound fluid. I also think that some of those tracks cannot be
divided from the circumstances under which they were written. I recall cEvin
once saying in an interview that the track "Bird" on Music For Cats was
written about an incident that occured to him (watching a bird die) that for
some reason tapped him into the then-recent death of Dwayne Goettel and he
immediately walked into the studio and wrote that song. I don't know that i
personally could appreciate the impact of that particular song without
knowing that information.

Maybe i'm crazy but i hear a definate Chain Reaction influence of Plateau
and Download III.
