I, too, recieved this CD and Derek seems to have beaten me to the punch on
just about everything i was going to say about it. but probably more
eloquently, so everyone is better off for it. :)
I didn't have any idea what to expect from this CD and my first impressions
were along the r.devine, schematic lines but similarly i found myself
straying from that analogy quickly afterwards.
thus far it has gotten better on every listen, and the seemingly simplistic
melodies become more interesting over time within the context of the whole
songs, and with volume. this album is not breaking down any barriers, but
it is still unique and interesting. and a good overall listen, to boot.
i, for one, will be looking forward to more tadd and more from ghostly
international
