WHAT is the sample used in the first few seconds of "I'm For Real" by
Nightmares On Wax?! I *know*, love and used to own the song which is
sampled here (several mixes, in fact) and I just can't remember the
title/artist. Was it Vicious Pink (something tells me "no") and was the
version sampled here not remixed by Tony Mansfield? HELP! (if you're not
somewhere near my age, you'll ned to be a real spotter to know this. The
gauntlet is thrown down :-)
Speaking of Mansfield and proto-electronic stuff which led to IDM
(maybe), I don't suppose anyone out there has his old remix of Yip Yip
Coyote's "Pioneer Girls" (12") which they'd like to sell...? They
weren't really woth remembering, but that mix was. Lotsa fun in the old
Malcom McClaren vein.
