APHEX TWIN THREATENS TO QUIT MUSIC
The Aphex Twin-aka Richard James-has once again said he's going to
quit music for good. He said he wants to concentrate on making
films with Chris Cunningham, the inspired director behind their
award winning music videos 'Come To Daddy' and 'Windowlicker'.
Aphex wants to work on both a short film and a feature film with
Chris.
Aphex said he won't be doing any more interviews and that his next
album "will be out in about five years time, if at all." His record
label Warp reacted with amusement and said that this isn't the first
time Aphex has threatened to quit and probably won't be the last,
although for once he could just mean what he says and he won't do
any music again.
