commercial radio stations do that a lot: talk about someone 'hip',
without even playing anything by them. some perverse way to look like
you're in the know while 'satisfying' a lemming audience with britney
spears' & cher's antics. fortunately you can tell by how badly they
know their stuff:
'...the band squarepusher with their new nothing album _music has one
rotten note_...'
somehow, everytime i think of commercial radio, i'm instantly bitter.
