He was one of the most important musicians in Jamaica, he was a producer
and played melodica. He either played on or produced (literally) hundreds
(if not thousands) of records. He was (obviously) incredibly influential,
especially in the 'dub' world. I could go on and on, but it's not really

No one on any of the mailinglists I'm on has been able to find any news on
the internet that has anything to do with him dying, but someone from the
On-U list apparently called rounder records and they "more or less
verified" that he has passed away, and there's a bulding thread on r.m.r.
about it, so I guess it's true.
