Wow, those metal boxes sound like the best manifestation of "planned obsolesence" I've ever heard of in the music biz. As soon as they fall apart, they can make a new compilation that you have to buy. I think I'll quarrantine the 3 CR 12"s I've got in case they are set to explode at y2k.
