Just received Sly & Robbie's "Drum & Bass (Strip to
the Bone by Howie B), on Rykodisc/Palm Pictures (1999),
and was curious if anyone could provide some background
information on this project. The title is sort of
misleading, there really isn't a great amount of
drum & bass on this superb full length, but rather
laid back trip-hop, with dub melodies and the occasional
spurt of reggae rhythm's slipped in the background.
I understand there was a radio/only promo in circulation
in December '98, perhaps that was just a 12" single? I'm
not sure...
Any input would be great. Thanks in advance...
