It's basically a collage of strange sound bites, loops and sonic weirdness. Those people who stick it in their deck, press play and sit back are missing the point. The idea is to play around with it -- play it in shuffle mode, program your own seamless sequence, loop between edit marks or entire tracks, go exploring, etc. It's pretty much been designed as an interactive experience rather than a passive one. Worth buying an MD deck for? Perhaps not, but it's probably the only commercial MD release that really takes advantage of an MD player's capabilities. Autechre fans who have an MD player should snap it up though -- it's an essential addition to anyone's IDM collection. /\/)ark http://www.sonance.demon.co.uk/
