Groups such as mu-Ziq, The Orb and Underworld have claimed Phillip Glass as a big influence. Sonically, it seems to come out in the use of layered arppegiated patterns. For example, "Dance 2" from mu-Ziq's Bluff Limbo definitely has that Phillip Glass sound. Also, Aphex Twin worked with Mr. Glass on a version of Icct Hedral. On a similar note, that guitar line from The Orb's "Little Fluffy Clouds" was lifted from Steve Reich's "Electric Counterpoint."
