The style of this one is | experimental electronica with a spacey trip hop feel. ? I'm pretty sure I've had that Sluta Leta 12" for over a year. I picked it up slightly after the comp 'Vienna Tone' was released. The comp has several tracks off Uptight - including a real goody off the abovementioned 'Seven Up' - so I started seeking some more out. No sign of anything recently off that label though... I just picked up the latest Sluta Leta effort on Cheap last night - funny to log on to check my mail and see them mentioned. I really enjoy the way they tread the line between freaked out sounds, particularly harmonically, and quite groovy rhythms. I don't find them particularly consistent, but I'm sure big Mego fans would get into it in a big way. What I wanted to touch on when I first asked about Pulsinger and the rest was: are there other people who sound like the more punchy, sometimes more hiphop influenced, Sluts'n'Strings & 909 material? I do like a lot of the more jazzy stuff, and the more "experimental" (soulless? :) stuff, but I want some more funky shit. ;) Michael "You know what?
