I've borrowed the new version from a friend, plan to load it into my Mac &
A/B it with the original to tell the differences, then burn the alternate
tracks on a CD w/ 28 Gun Bad Boy (so I can keep the original in a safe
place, I doubt I'll ever see another copy). Full report by the end of the
week.
I've got the "So Many Dreams" CDS, and have to say I prefer the original
to the remixes.

I think Gerald's drum programming has always been excellent. He gets some
amazing textures from his rhythms on both BST & 28 Gun Bad Boy (the total
mindfuck jungle album - it gets better every time I listen to it, and it
rated as a great album the first time I heard it. Hard to believe it's
from '92).
4 Hero, at least on Parallel Universe, tends to be a little more Catholic
in their drum programming to maintain their dancefloor cred. I'm glad they
strayed from that a bit w/ Jacob's Optical Stairway. But, if you want
some really ripping tracks, try out their "Paranormal In 4 Forms"
(MacroDubInfection), or the JOS remix of System 7 on the Foundations comp.

Thanks for the info. Anyone care to comment on the "Jacob's Story" EP
that came out on R&S about a year ago? I've been meaning to buy it for
too long.
