I think the point is that Richard wasn't as serious back in the days when he
was just monkeying around, creating weird sounds, building his own synths,
and lucid dreaming until 4 in the afternoon. The tracks from that era sound
far and away better than any samples, resampled, or filtered fart I've ever
heard.
I quite like the noise on SAW-I, actually. It's unintentional, and ads to
the raw creativity that the music originated from in the first place.
